5 Must-Dos For Your Nightly Routine!

I don’t know about you, but I loveeee routines. I also love being spontaneous! But keeping a few things consistent in my day-to-day help keep me grounded and feel free to be spontaneous throughout the day. My night routine is one of those things that just has to stay the same, no matter how early or late it is! I’ve done a lot of experimenting, but here’s what I found works. Comment below what your night routine is, and if you do any of the same things that I do!
  1. No phone in my room!

Before I go to my room for the night, I plug my phone in.. in the kitchen. I have tried sleeping with my phone in the room, but it’s just too distracting! If I’m in bed, my phone should not be with me!
  1. Drink a lot of water, and get some ready for the next day!

I try to drink 2 bottles of water before bed (If I have to go to the restroom in the middle of the night, it’s a good sign) and I bring an extra to keep at my bedside table. I sometimes sleep with my mouth open and waking up to a cold water bottle is the nicest feeling! Plus, drinking water helps you feel full, and if I had dinner way earlier, I just drink some water to keep me from midnight snacking!
  1. Bible time!

I sometimes will read my Bible in the mornings, but going into The Word just before bed hits different. It’s such a great way to end my day and spend my last moments of the day with my Favorite!
  1. Braid my hair!

I’m trying to grow my hair out and my hair is super fine! If I leave it down, I wake up to a rat’s nest of a head and it takes forever to detangle! Braiding my hair helps keep my scalp relaxed and keeps my hair smooth.
  1. Set two alarms, both giving you plenty of time!

I set 2 alarms, an hour apart so I can choose in the morning what kind of morning I want. I am a morning person, so a lot of times, I’ll pick the earlier option so I can enjoy my morning before my busy day begins. However, if you need a little extra sleep that morning, just turn the alarm off and enjoy another hour!
